Where are freeze plugs on back side of motor. I have a problem with coolant leaking.

Hi Lance:

When you say the back side of the engine do you mean the right bank which is at the fire wall side of the engine or do you man the rear of the engine those are un the flywheel area and the transmission has to be removed to acces them. Freeze plugs are VERY rare leaking on these engines unless the coolant was really bad they don't go bad to often. I would be more apt to look for a different source of a leak like a head gasket it it's a V6 or a water pump if it's a quad engine. The freede plugs on the right bak of the engine are in between the transmission and the engine Also a pain to get to. Hope that helps you out.. good luck :}
