Question
I am having problems with my thermostat...I think.  It is leaking when car it turn off from the hose
connecting to the thermostat.  Also will not start unless have antifreeze or water in the car.  
While driving the car jumps fiercely after acceleratin.  I am wondering if it is something that can
be repaired easily or if it is my timing belt.  Also the Stop Engine Temp light comes on while
driving but goes in and out while taking turns.

You need to find and fix the leak.

The reason the light on the dash is coming ON, is because there is a sensor mounted near the top of the radiator and if the radiator is not completly full of anti-freeze and when you make a turn the anti-freeze level drops below the level of the sensor and turns ON the light.
