Cadillac Repair: Break lines, auto parts store, pipe lengths

Question
Need to replace break lines on a 1990 Cadi Brougham 5.0L, where can i find them?

Answer
Hi James, The only way to buy them is in straight pipe lengths and bend them as necessary. You will need to know if they are metric, standard, or bubble flare for the ends and thread. Useing a compression fitting might leak and never use a rubber hose and clamps to join the ends together so get several unions. Take a sample of the end and tube along with the length you need to replace to your local auto parts store and they will get what you need. Use a length of string to help measure the line and then measure the string. If it is an odd size that can't be put somewhere then you will need a double flareing tool to cut and make an end. Good luck. Bill
