Cadillac Repair: How do you over ride the sacuraty system on a 89 cadillac, ohmeter, radio shack

I have a 89 cadillac sedain dvill and want to over ride key code that a nomel key work's in the switch in stead of key code one I am tired of it stoping on me

Hi Rick, You need to get a digital ohmeter and measure the key pellet and then go to Radio Shack and get a 1/4 ohm resistor as close to the reading as you can. Then below the steering column you will see 2 vey small gage white wires comming out of an orange covering. Cut the wires and install the resistor in the 2 wires that don't go to the steering column. Then you won't need a special key to start the engine. Hope that makes sence. Bill
