the E codes are 39 and .98
the EE codes 39 and .7.0   for the cadillac

also can you tell me how to get the codes for a 2000 chevy venture

My check engine light comes on after the car is running for about 15 minuts, the car does not seem to be running any different than normal when this happens.  The light always stays on unil the engine is shut off.  When it is started again, the light comes on after it warms up again like clockwork. Any ideas?

Motor is 4.5 liter

Hi Joe, Run the engine until the light turns on and the with the engine running push and hold the off and warmer buttons on the climate control panel until it goes into diagnostics and tell me what E and EE codes are stored. Bill

Hi Joe, You are haveing a problem with the viscus or torque converter clutch in the transmission. The computor sets the code because the rpms are supposed to drop when the clutch is commanded on and they don't. There are alot of things that could cause this so without takeing it to the shop it would be a tough to know what to replace. You could continue to drive it this way and the gas mileage will be less than you are used to. Bill
