Cadillac Repair: Emisions, caddy, emissions

My Car is failing NJ OBD emissions inspections by a few points , But they don't know exactly what the problem is .they want to replace the Map sensor but they are saying that they are not guarenteeing that this is the problem.Do you have any advice

Hi Fred, You aren't giving me much to work with here. I would say that if the person wanting to replace the map sensor will give you all your money back if it doesn't fix it then then go ahead and replace it and then retest the emissions. Otherwise I would go to a Caddy dealer or find a more qualified tech because there are alot of sensors or things that will cause an engine to run rich. Bill
