Chevrolet Repair: 2006 Chevy SSR, chevy ssr, throttle plate

Question
Hey it wouldn't let me post anymore on the other post. I think their is a problem with the PCM. My mom keeps telling me it is the ignition switch. My thing is an ignition switch wouldn't cause you to loose 50hp. Am I correct. Also I have fooled around with my Cadillac PCM before Only except that one actually fried it smelled like something was burning when I drove so I replaced. The PCM controls the pedal and the gas flow correct. If I find out it is the PCM that is bad and I buy a brand new one that has never been used does the dealer have to flash it. Thanks for all your help. I appreciate it.

Answer
HI JAMES BOND, THE IGN SWITCH WOULD NOT CAUSE IT TO LOOSE POWER,OR AS YOU SAY HORSE POWER..
CORRECT ON THE PCM CONTROLLING THE THROTTLE PLATE THROUGH THE PEDAL...IF YOU BUT A NEW PCM YOU GOT TO HAVE IT FLASHED AT THE DEALER OR ANOTHER SHOP IN TOWN THAT CAN FLASH GM PCM'S. WE DO.
