Chevrolet Repair: no fire no spark, fuel pump relay, crank sensor

QUESTION: i have a 96 blazer 4.3 ltr replaced fuel pump and i get no prime when i turn on the key and i also have no spark...is there anything that could cause both problems at the same time?

ANSWER: HI MIKE,FIRTS OFF WHY DID YOU REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP ??? THE ONLY THING THAT CAN CAUSE BOTH WOULD BE A POWER CONTROL MODULE [PCM] VERY RARE OR WIRING ISSUES..HOWEVER I HAVE SEEN MANY, MANY BAD COILS ON THIS TYPE ENGINE. IS THIS WHY YOU REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP ???? IS THIS WHEN YOU LOST SPARK??? GET BACK TO ME WITH MORE HISTORY .....TOM.

QUESTION: i bought the blazer thinking the fuel pump was out,i replaced it,i also replaced the icm,coil,rotar, and distributor cap. i get 12 volts from coil when key is in the on position.I checked the oil sending unit,cam sensor,and crank sensor

HI MIKE,OK,DO YOU HAVE A SCAN TOOL ??? I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF THERE IS A CRANK SIGNAL WHEN THIS IS CRANKING OVER FROM THE PCM. WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANY RESPONSE AT ANY SENSORS FROM THE PCM. IAC [IDLE AIR CONTROL MOTOR] MOTOR SHOULD HAVE A 5 VOLT REFERENCE WHEN KEY IS ON..FOR THIS TO HAVE NO SPARK OR FUEL PUMP IT IS EITHER A MAJOR WIRING ISSUE OR POSS PCM PROBLEMS.IS THERE A AFTERMARKET ALARM TIED INTO THE IGNITION HARNESS SOMEWHERE?? JUST FOR FUN CK TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY POWER AT THE FUEL PUMP RELAY IN FUSE BOX WHEN CRANKING OVER,IF NO POWER THERE YOU GOT PCM PROBLEMS OR WIRING HARNESS ISSUES.PULL THE PCM AND LOOK AT THE HARNESS.GET BACK TO ME, TOM.....
