QUESTION: i got a 1998 nissan pathfinder i took out the stock cd
player to install a aftermaket cd player once that was
installed it did not come on i unstalled and re installed
the stock one and i noticed if the antenna is not plugged it
will not power on also so is there anyway to avoid that
seeing that the attena will not fit the aftermaket cd player


ANSWER: Cody,
Your radio will not work without the antenna plugged in.  If the plug is a different size than your radio, then you need to buy an adapter.  The adapter wire will connect your radio to the existing antenna wire, and your radio will work.  Hope this helps, Scott

The cd player should work without the antenna hooked up, but the radio needs the antenna to receive a signal.  If the cd player does not work, it may be some other problem that is causing the player to turn on.  Personally, I could not live without my radio.  Good Luck, Scott
