Chevrolet Repair: Electric door lock question..., electric door locks, amp fuse

Question
Mr. Lawson,
Don't know if you can help with this question, and I hope you don't mind my asking.
I've got a 1998 Saturn SL-1 with both electric windows and door locks.  The door locks do not work electrically, and I have to open then physically with the key.  (Which I don't mind doing.)  But they still TRY to open electrically, and I get a "click-click-click..." whirring sound that lasts for several minutes.
Would it be possible for me to pull a fuse for the electric door lock function, and not mess up the electric windows?  I'd sure like to do that, if possible.  Do you know if the electric windows and electric door locks for this model are on the same fuse?
Any suggestions, advice you can offer is greatly appreciated.
Warm regards, and Happy Holidays!

Answer
No problem at all. There is a fuse for the door locks in the instrument  panel junction block. It is fuse # 12 and should be a yellow 20 amp fuse. It does not show to be tied to anything else on the fuse/circuit breaker legend. I would try pulling this fuse out and then see if anything else seems to be affected. this junction block is behind the center of the dash console, under the dash.
