Chevrolet Repair: 93 Chevy Suburban, NO Fuel

Question
QUESTION: Our Suburban started ran about 5 minutes and died. It would not start again. We have replaced the fuel tank, filter, pump (twice), lines, relay. We still are not getting any to pump.  You can hear the pump run when you turn the key into the run position but no fuel is being pumped.

ANSWER: Angie,
What size motor are we dealing with? Fuel injected or normally aspirated {carb}. Diesel or gas is it a vortec? are you getting fuel to the fuel rail but not to the injectors? have you checked all the fuses in the engine compartment. The is a circuit called ENGINE 1 that command the flow and firing sequence this runs off the cam sensor located in the distributor, any service engine lights on?

QUESTION: It is a 350 motor.  fuel injected and gas. there is no fuel leaving the tank.  I have the lines unhooked to check for flow.  The fuse on the firewall appears to be good and we have changed the fuel pump relay.  I don't believe that the service engine light is on.

Answer
ok thank you for the clue of nothing leaving the tank. There are several causes, 1 the nylon sock( strainer) could be plugged. 2 the little rubber hose that connects the pump to the sending unit could be collapsing in on itself. You stated that you replace the tank. New or used there could be a problem with the pump hitting a baffle and not being able to draw fuel. disconnect the fuel line at the engine side of the fuel filter and see if fuel is going past that. If not used compressed air and blow out lines that should help
