Chevrolet Repair: 91camaro 3.1 v6 wont run, haynes manual, vacuum line

Question
QUESTION: i have a 1991 camaro rs 3.1v6. it was running fine shut it off and would not start again. replaced fuel pump and strainer.i am getting fuel to the fuel block and it returns fuel to the tank but wont run. if i pour gas in the intake it will run till i quit pouring fuel to it. i have power to the injectors, checked them with a test light.if you could help me i would greatly appreciate it.thank you.

ANSWER: If you are getting fuel to the intake, it should run, especially if you pour gas into the intake, then it runs.  Do you know if you have enough fuel pressure?  Did you replace the filter as well, when you changed the pump?  Also you said you have injector power, but do you have injector PWM (pulse with modulation).  You will need to check to see if the injectors are firing and that can't be done with a test light.  It pulses too fast for the test light to keep up.  You can get a injector tester at the local auto store for a couple of bucks.  Also check to see if the vacuum line to the fuel rail regulator isn't broken.  Common problem

QUESTION: if im not getting injector pulse where should i look for a problem.

Answer
Check the wiring on the intake, for your injector PWM problem.  You will be looking for a break in the wires, or a short.  Most likely a break.  If you have an OHM meter, you can probe gently the connector from the injector to the computer.  Off hand I do not know which wires at the Computer they are.  A Haynes Manual should be able to tell you that..I think...Probe the injector control circuits to see if there's an open.  Also check the grounds on the engine block to make sure they are good, clean and tight
