Chevrolet Repair: steering box, sector shaft, recipt

I own a 79 malibu I would like to know how to adjust the steering box to take away the play that the steering wheel has.The box is a rebuilt one (warranty is over and i lost the recipt anyway)

Hey,

 The over center adjustment is on the top of the box.  Loosen the 5/8 nut and the slot in the stud can be moved in and out.  Make small adjustments, tightent nut and roadtest.  Moving the sector shaft in makes the steering more sensitive and tight.
