Chevrolet Repair: horn fuse, chevy silverado, fog lights

Question
I keep blowing a fuse for the horn on a 2000 chevy silverado. I replaced the fuse and it lasted for several days, but has gone out again. The only time I really used the horn is when I have locked the truck by the key remote. Any help you can give me I would greatly appreciate.

Answer
Hi Allen Cooper,

I have to guess that something is shorting the horn out.

Did you have any work done lately; new radio, fog lights, anything that may have tapped the horn for power?

Sometimes the horn itself goes bad.  You may need a new horn.  But first look for any place the horn wire may be touching metal, or a screw.
