Chevrolet Repair: No power when warm, coolant temp, cold engine

Question
Hello. I have a 95 K1500, 305 TBI, 5spd. man. trans. and has 247K miles. When I start with a cold engine it runs fine. As the truck warms up it starts to lose power and hesitate on acceleration. Once it's warm it does it all the time. It's worse during the first movement of the gas pedal and will do a little better if I get on the gas. It idles fine cold and warm. I checked the TPS and I couldn't see any flat spots but I'm not sure if they'll really stand out if there is one. I also replaced the MAP sensor with no luck. I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Craig

Answer
Hi Craig,
That TPS is for sure a good place to look. Go to Autozone, and get them to connect a scan tool and read codes. While connected, check the TPS. It should show nice smooth operation on the readings.

Fuel pressure is another thing to consider, although it does sound more like one of the sensor/closed loop problems.

Coolant temp sensor is another possibility. Check this link:  http://www.chevytalk.org/threads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=1685353&an=0&page=0#P...
