Chevrolet Repair: 03 Tahoe Wiper Problem, chevy tahoe, 2003 chevy tahoe

I just purchased a 2003 Chevy Tahoe with 68k miles.  The wipers are acting really unusual...when I turn the wipers on the lowest setting, they will automatically begin wiping as though they are on the normal low wiper setting (instead of wiping with delays in between it wipes repeatedly).  Sometimes when I turn on the wiper and try to turn it off, it will continue wiping for over 30 wipes until finally turning off on its own.  Any help would be great!  Thanks!

I've noticed that is a common problem amongst those. I haven't had the chance to work on one personally but I believe the problem lies in the switchboard which should be located on the motor at the plug. Really no way to check it just to replace it but I would try having the switch on the steering column replaced first.
