Chevrolet Repair: Cavalier AC problem, radiator fan, air circulation

Question
I have a 2003 Cavalier and the AC is driving me nuts.
It is by far the weakest AC I've ever had!
I have it back to the dealer twice and twice at a local repair shop. They can't find anything wrong and couldn't offer any advice, other than to say Cavalier's have poor AC.
When your moving, it does seem to come out cold, but as soon as you stop, it changes to warm. I suspect the condenser is not getting enough air circulation, but this is just my guess. Should this model have a separate fan for the condenser or does the radiator fan cool both the condenser and radiator? Should the fan turn on when the AC is turned on, it doesn't. I'd really appreciate any advice you can give. Thank you very much!

Answer
Hi John, It doesn't matter what type of car you have the ac should still be cold!! Not sure on what type of people your dealing with on this one, maybe they don't care or are just dumb on ac. Yes that fan better turn after about 30 seconds after you turn on the ac. Without the air flow through the condenser the high side of the ac system will very hot and high pressure inside. This will cause the problem your having!! Have some one test the fan motor on the radiator. Most of the time the fan motor is the problem. You can buy just the motor and install the fan to the new motor.

Hope  this helps
