I have a 2000 chevy malibu the window switch on the driver side will row down the front and back window on the driver side but will not row back up.  I have replaced the switch and it does the same thing.

most of the time, you have an up circuit, and a down circuit. start simple, check the fuses, if all are good, then you probably have a wiring problem in that circuit. you are going to have to get a power window schematic for this vehicle. you need to identify the circuit and test it at the switch to make sure the switch is sending the voltage down to the motors. if it is, you have bad motors. now, i doubt that, only because two motors dont normally go bad at the same time. also, call the dealer near you, ask for the service manager and make sure those switches arent in series. if they are, if one doesnt work neither will. over all, i think maybe your in for some wire testing, and repairing. identify the down circuit for the drivers side and test it with a meter. i think youll find a broken wire there. good luck and let me know what happens.
