Chevrolet Repair: dash brake light flashs, chevy silverado, flashing light

I have a 1994 chevy silverado c1500 2wd 5.7L. The brake light in the dash has started to flash, it flash 5 times pauses for about second then starts again. I have replaced both front pads and will be replacing right side caliper (when hitting brakes truck will pull to the left), truck does stop ok. What is this flashing from?

Hi John, The flashing light is from the abs unit or rwal. Without a book I don't know what might be the problem. The most common problem was the Valve they called the "dump valve". I would disconnect the battery and see if it goes away first before getting in to deep. AS far as the pulling, could also be the brake hose is bad that goes to the caliper.
