Chevrolet Repair: oil leak, chevy 350, oil leak

Question
my 1993 chevy 350 v-8 pu has a profuse oil leak back of the oil filter near what appears to be oil cooling lines. the lines and fittings are not leaking. i have not seen these lines on earlier 350v-8s. the oil pressure drops to zero. what is happening here?

Answer
Hi Gene, There is a adaptor that the oil cooler lines screw into and the oil filter screws onto. The 0 ring at the top of this adaptor is the likely cause of your leak. Remove the 2 bolts and drop the adaptor down a couple of inches and remove the 0 ring from the top of the adaptor, install the new 0 ring and reassemble.

Hope this corrects your leak.
