Chevrolet Repair: Engine damage, engine flush, short periods

Question
I have a question. What would happen if someone poured engine flush in a new vehicle engine and failed to drain it as directed? If someone drove the car with the engine flush still in the engine along with the motor oil would any damage occur? I need to know because someone told me today that an enemy pour flush in my engine about a week ago. I just heard this and I am furious and also worried sick that my new engine may be damaged. I plan on changing the oil just in case but I want to know, if I had not found out would this have damaged my engine over time or has it already done damage?

Answer
Hello David, The flush makes the oil very thin and doesn't keep a film of oil between the crankshaft and the bearings under high load conditions. The engine will run ok at a idle for short periods but not going down the road. I would change the oil right now to be sure it is not in there. There is no way to tell if it did any damage unless you hear noises coming from the engine.

Hope this helps
