Chevrolet Repair: 1993 K1500 Pickup, fuel pressure regulator, flood mode

Question
Hello James
My 1993 Chevy K1500 is running very rich and can't stay running.  I have to have the gas to the floor in flood mode for it to start.  The Cap, rotor wires and plugs have been replaced.  The new plugs has gas wet.  Coil is OK, timming seems ok 0 TDC and rotor on #1, also timming light when running OK.  Idle Air control has been clean and working, MAP and TPS sensor OK.  NO ERROR CODES.  I am lost now!  Any ideas?

Bob

Answer
There are a few things that could be going on here. First, does the check engine light come on when you turn your truck on, but not to crank the motor?
If yes, then move on to the fuel pressure regulator which is usually located on your fuel rail.
