Chevrolet Repair: Rear passenger side axle shaft, camaro rs, axle shaft

Question
Was wondering if i could get some help... i bent my axle on my 97 camaro RS v6 auto / drum breaks  i got an axle and want to install it myself i have this as directions

"you have to take off the wheels, remove the brake assembly as needed, remove the rear end cover to access the retainer clip, (you'll lose all the rear end fluid when you remove the cover), remove the clip, slide the old axle out, you should also replace the axle bearing, and seal at this time, slide in the new axle, replace the retainer clip, replace the rear end cover, refill the rear end with new fluid (rear end fluid- not just any fluid), reinstall the brakes, re-install the wheels"

What i was wondering is if there is anything i should look out for... something i could do wrong that would make other things go bad    if u have any additions to instructions mentioned above that would be great man

Answer
If I remeber correctly, there should be a 5/16 bolt and a rod that comes out prior to removing the clips. Once this rod is removed you will be able to push the axle inwards and the clip will practically fall out.
No, there is no way to mess it up.
You might want to check the gears for bad wear while your in there.
