Hi, I have a 94 blazer S10, will not start unless I spray the coil and distr. cap with WD 40, then it runs for a few  minutes .  I replaced the coil, Dist. cap, and plugs, sometimes it will start without spraying but it will only stay running for a few minutes.....I don't know what else   to try?     I would appreciate your input.       Thanks, Roy

Hi Roy, I hope you also replaced the plug wires! If it still quits I would do a fuel pressure test to make sure the pump is not shutting down. You should have 38 lbs or more.

I did not replace the plug wires but will ......,had the fuel pump replaced a few yrs ago, it seems like it is getting plenty of fuel but  them like I said it stops running, hmmm, fuel pump shutting down sounds like that could be it,     Thanks, I do consider myself a back yard mechanic and this has had me stumped! Is  the fuel pressure test something I can do?
let me know

Mark

Answer
Yes there is a fitting on the drivers side of the intake manifold at the rear. You should be able to get a cheap gage if you don't have one. There is a screw type fitting there to connect. You will need to remove the cap on this fitting to connect the gage to it.
