Chevrolet Repair: i have a 1980 chevolet 10..., caliper pistons, brakepads

i have a 1980 chevolet 10 van . we bought second hand from another owner.when i got it home the brakes on front needed replacing.so i put new brakepads and calipers on the front.ever time i drive it,the left front caliper starts sticking and rubs the brake pads.i might go several days befor the caliper on the left releases.could you tell me wht may be the problem please.

Replace the flexable hoses from the frame to the steering knuckle. They deteriorate on the inside, and form plugs, preventing the release of pressure. You can verify that by opening the bleed screws, and see if pressure is trapped, holding the brake applied.

I would ask if you rebuilt the caliper pistons, or did you just squeeze the pistons back into the caliper bores, where there may be rust and crud buildup, preventing the piston from moving freely.
