Chevrolet Repair: 1969 CAMARO TRANSMISSION, 1969 camaro, turbo 350

Question
Dear Sir:
I have a 1969 camaro 350 w/ a turbo 350 trans. The transmission was rebuilt about 15 years ago but I have only put maybe 1000 miles on it since it was rebuilt. I the beginning of summer i took it out for a ride, then backed it into the driveway. Came back a few weeks later and i wouldn't go into drive. I dropped the pan and the valve that is hooked up to the selector lever jambed and would not go into the valve body all the way. I messed around with it and got it working, put it back together and it worked great, shifted good, no slipping, nothing.
Went to get gas. And it jambed again. Towed it home and backet it up the driveway. A couple of weeks later, I was ready to take it apart again, but before I did I tried the selector lever again, and it worked. It went through all the gears, but it wasn't running. I turned the engine on, let it warm up, and went through the gears. It went into park, reverse, neutral, and when i hit D, L2, L1 it went into reverse. So now no matter what gear I put it in it is in reverse. Can you give me any idea what is with this thing. It's driving me up a wall. It has 93,000 original miles on it. And I did check the fluid and it is at the correct level. This thing is kiiling me.
Thank you for your time.
Respectfully

Answer
Hi Joe, I'm not sure on what the problem is but I know it has to do with the valve that you messed with before(manual selector valve). You need to remove the pan and inspect it and the linkage that works it. There must be a problem there, loose linkage or something.

Let me know what you find out
