Land Rover Repair: 2002 Land rover, neutral safety switch, cd system

I have a 2002 land rover discover II, I stopped for gas last night turned it off, pumped gas, and when I turned the key nothing happens. It seems to have good battery power but it will not turn over. Almost like if it was still in gear. I thought maybe a neutral safety switch but I am not sure how to test for that.

You need the Land Rover wiring book to test those circuits.  I think you can download what you need as part of the Land Rover RAVE CD system at this link:

It's also possible you have a security lockout.  Does the alarm sound?  You should be able to reset that by locking and unlocking with the key in the driver door, or using the pushbutton remote.
