Chevrolet Repair: taillights on silverado, frame rail, rear frame

Question
We have a 2001 Silverado, the left taillight is out, I replaced the bulb but that wasn't the problem as the new one didn't work either. I noticed the left license plate light was out also, but when I replaced that bulb, it worked. I didn't know if there is a fuse for right and left taillights or is it a wiring problem or is the socket bad for the taillight?

Hello Kevin, Look for your problem in the junction box at the left rear frame rail next to the spare tire. It is a square box with a few connectors that plug into it. Disconnect the connectors and look for a bad contact.
