Chevrolet Repair: GM block, free hundreds, k10

I have a 86 k10 4x4 but i dont think the motor is stock. on the block behind the dist. is GM 3951511. I been told the engine is a small block 400 . do you know the number or where i can find out. ever hopefull bill S
