Chevrolet Repair: electrical,Brake Lights, turn signal switch, brake light switch

1992 chevrolet suburban C1500 5.7 liter 350
Brake lights won't work.I've changed all light bulbs,fuses and brake light switch on brake pedal.
Brake Pads & shoes have been replaced.
The ABS light on instrement panel comes on,but goes off as soon as pedal is touched.
I really don't want too go to chevrolet house.

Hi George,
First check the emergency flasher switch, and wiggle the turn signal lever. The brake light power must pass through the turn signal switch, and it is possible one of the connections in there is not contacting.
You should also check the flashers.
With a test light, the ground clip connected to a good clean ground back at the frame or body, check for power in the sockets. Check with turn signals on, then with brakes, since I believe the same bulbs are used for both systems.

It's possible a ground wire back in the rear harness isn't making good connection, if neither the signals, nor brake lights work.

Use the test light to see if there is power to, and through the brake light switch.
