Please I am trying to find out if I will need to remove my streering wheel to replace signal switch...thank you if you can help...!
Answer -
In most cases YES. However since chevy has been building thousands of models of vehicles for close to 100 years all I can assume is that your driving SOME KIND of chevy product.

IF your vehicle has a steering wheel AIR BAG on it, There are SPECIFIC procedures that MUST be folowed in order to disable the BACKUP POWER SUPPLY to the air bag system as disconnecting the battery will NOT disable the air bag system and ONE mistake and this air bag can seriously INJURE or KILL if it deplys when your working on it.

Next you will need SPECIAL tools to get some of the internal steering column components apart that MUST come off before you can access the turn signal switch assembly.

Answer
You would be surprised as I get anywhere from 30 to 60 questions daily and approx 10% give no information as in

MY CAR WON'T START, WHY.

That's ALL the information I get.

back to your problem. I STRONGLY urge you to NOT attempt this dangerous repair and you still need the special tools to remove the inner steering column lock ring assembly.
