Chevrolet Repair: timing marks, 1994 s10 blazer, s10 blazer

Question
On my 1994 S10 Blazer,4.3W,CPI,I can't find the timing block on the engine to align with the mark on the harmonic balancer.I purchased this vehicle new, with the Helms manual, and have been able to fix everything so far.Recently I hydrolocked the no.6 cyl. After pulling the plugs and cleaning everything out I think I bent a couple of pushrods in the cyl.I replaced them but can't find the timing mark to adjust the lifters for noise. Can you help? Thanks Steve B

Answer
Are you positive you torqued the rocker arm valve assembly in the proper sequence ?.

And you won't find the timing mark on a vortec because there is none of which is used to adjust the lifters because there is NO LIFTER ADJUSTMENT.

If you have lifter noise and have tested all the lifters, checked ALL the pushrods for proper length. Be CARFEUL as I have seen replacement push rods that were in the correct boxes but the pus rods were to SHORT or to LONG in length.

If you have everything togrther correctly and none of the above problems, then you missed something or have either bad lifters or bent/wrong push rods.

I have the 4.3 factory rebuild book and there is NO valve lash adjustment.
