Chevrolet Repair: my blazer wont always start, fuel spray, preasure

Question
hey van, my 89' chevy k-5 blazer needs about three tries to turn over in the morning. after driving then shuting it off it needs up to 3 hours to sit to turn back over again. it just cranks but no fire, and while it cranks i smell something funny almost burnt smelling.i took it in and they said they found nothing except that my fuel pump worked, but at the lowest point of the correct functioning preasure.after the initial start in the morning and shutting off the next try will almost turn over then it dies and i have to wait another hour or two.

Answer
Hello Jason,
You say it doesn't fire, but we need to know if there is spark.
Also, if inside the throat of the throttle body, if there is a cone of fuel spraying in.
If there is no fuel spray as you crank, pour about an ounce in, and see if it tries to start then. If it does, I would be changing the fuel filter, and try again.
If it doesn't at least hit, then pull a plug wire, and check for spark.
