Chevrolet Repair: seat belts, back seat belts, geo prizm

Hi, I hope you can help me. My back seat belts in  my car (91 Geo Prizm) are not working. You can't pull them out, seems like they are stuck. I have tried to look at them in the trunk, but can't even get the cover off of them to see what the problem is. Is there an easy solution for this or am I going to have to take it in to someone to have them fix it for me?

Hello Nita, I think your going need someone to repair these for you. The most common thing is that they get twisted and bind the retractor so it won't release. Most of the time you can hold the lock part of the retractor to get the belt out and remove the twisted part.
