Chevrolet Repair: engine Rebuild, chevy 350, carburetors

Question
Hello thank you for taking the time to read my e-mail and any information you can give me regarding my questions.  I'm currently in the process of rebuilding a 1974 Chevy 350 4 bolt main engine. I have talked to several professionals and they all tell me different things so I'm turning to you for a right answer. I was planning on boring it out . 30 over and I would like to put a little better cam in it. My main goal is to put a Weindlend 6-71 Supercharger on it with two Holley 650 Carburetors on it. I have never done anything but normal engine rebuilds so I have no clue as to what to do to the engine. If it is not to much trouble could you please tell me what I need to do to the engine to be able to achieve this? Do I need to raise the compression past 9:1 ? If so how much and what kind of pistons should I use? Also what type of cam should I use? I would also like to have the choice if possible in the future to add NOS is this possible. Thank you again for taking the time to read this e-mail and any information you can give me on this is greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi Eugene, First I'm not the person you need to talk to on this 671 stuff. I do know that you don't want any more compression then 9to1. Anytime you add a turbo or blower you need to have low compression. As far as pistons be sure to used a forged piston. Maybe you could find a web site that people talk to each other to give you answers.
