Chevrolet Repair: Chevy A/C - No Air Through Front Vents, ash tray, stepper motor

Question
I am not getting any air through the front vents of my '96 K1500 4x4 8 cyl either with or w/o the A/C on.  If I set the switch to floor or to a mix of floor/defroster, I get air through those vents.  But when I set it to blow through the front vents, no air comes out.  It's as if whatever diverter is used isn't moving into proper position to divert air through the front vents.  I can hear the blower blowing and air is plenty cold so I don't think I have a compressor/freon problem.

Answer
Hello Rudy,
There is a little stepper motor behind the middle of the dash, like where the ash tray is. It operates that flow control door.
Try unplugging it, and reconnecting it.
Sometimes the motor is bad, sometimes the part that turns the door is stripped.
Sometimes the door is just stuck, like with a pencil.
