The engine size on my blazer is a 4.3 v-6.  The problem is that the engine would crank over but willnot start.  I know that it has to do with fuel delivery because I had sprayed some starting fluid and the engine started but would not stay on.  Can you give me suggestion on what to check and how to check it.  My neighbor says that it could be the fuel pump.  Is there any way I can test the fuel pump before I have to dopr the gas tank if it is the problem.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.  THANK YOU

Hi Ryan, The first thing you need to do is test for power at the fuel tank. You need to have someone turn the key one while your watching the test light because the power to the fuel pump will only be there for 2 seconds before it goes away. If you have power then you need to replace your pump. I think you need a new fuel pump from the sound of your problem.

Thank you very much for your help.  But can you please tell me what to do on how to test for power, please be specific.  Thank You Again.

Answer
You need to get to the connector at the fuel pump. If the tank is in the rear you can find the connector at the  rear part of the tank. Now test for power on the gray wire. You can also try this, bang on the bottom of the tank with a large hammer while someone is cranking the engine over. Sometimes this with get the fuel pump running and then you know it is a bad pump.
