Chevrolet Repair: brakes, brake calipers, antilock brakes

Question
1993 chevy 1/2 ton pickup. I replaced both front
brake calipers and pads. When I went to bleed
the lines the passenger side bleed screw continues to bleed when brake depressed unless I
tighten the screw completely. But, when I do that,
the wheel won't turn as if the brake is still
pushed down. I tried a new bleed screw but still
won't work. Any ideas?

Answer
Hi David,
I don't understand if you mean it bleeds fluid when the brake is depressed, or if you mean when it is released.
If you have four wheel antilock brakes, see if you can hear the little pump motor running. You may have a valve sticking in that system.
