With modern replacement ignition wire sets do I still need to re-install the spark plug boot metal heat shields?

Hi Steve,
I am not familiar with the metal heat shields nor the specifics of the replacement wire sets. I suggest that you check with the dealer parts counter to see whether the heat shields are still available and are to be used with contemporary wires or not.
