Chrysler Repair: timing marks on a 200concorde 3.2, powertrain control module, 4 digit numbers

Question
inst new timing belt ,sprocket  marks weren't quite centered between casting marks. engine won't idle , it stalls, has no power, act like bad timing

Answer
Hi Russell,
If the marks were within the limits shown on the covers and the crankshaft was at TDC with the mark on the oil pump and you had rotated it by hand a couple of revolutions then that appears to meet the requirements. Ideally you would have marked where the sprockets were before you removed the belt earlier, for comparison. If the marks were within the limits I would question whether there is anything wrong with the timing. Did you have a good manual that described the procedure in its entirety?
It may be there is something else that is causing the issue that would be detected by the powertrain control module as a fault code. Try turning the ignition switch:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window of the cluster to see if it changes to show 4-digit numbers which are such codes. Let me know if any appear.
