QuestionMy car will not start because the alarm system will not disarm. I am needing to get the vehicle to the repair shop for and intake manifold gasket leak I found after doing a pressure test. I have the cars manual and followed it step by step and it still wont shut off. Any ideas Please???

There is a wire from the key lock of each front door that has to be connected to the vehicle theft module in order to disarm it (key lock simply grounds that wire when you unlock). So if you have tried both doors then the both wires are probably broken at the door hinge. Rather than fishing through the harnesses there you can go directly to the module and simulate the disarming action there by using some straight pins to pierce through the insulation of the relevant wires and touch the pins together to cancel the alarm armed condition.
The module is located on the passenger side kick panel, just to the right of the passengers right leg and in front of the door opening. It has a 21 pin natural color plug.
DO NOT PULL THE PLUG OUT OF THE MODULE UNTIL YOU HAVE THE ENGINE RUNNING OTHERWISE YOU WILL GET INTO A 'HARD' LOCKOUT SITUATION THAT OBLY CAN BE LIFTED AT A DEALERSHIP.
What you have to do rather is to first cancel the armed status so the engine will then start and run.
To do that you must simulate the unlocking of either front door (which isn't working now because of failed wiring no doubt). The wire on pin 4 (dark green/orange) comes from the passenger door lock. So all you need to do is insert a straight pin through the insulation of that wire. Then do the same thing at pin 11, the sensor ground pin of the plug (black/light green). Finally touch the two straight pins together momentarily which will cancel the alarm. Then try to start the engine, and when it is running steadily you can pull the natural color plug out of the module WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING and that will disconnect the theft system permanently. You can try the same pin grounding technique at the light green/orange wire on pin 18 which is connected to the driver door lock cylinder, if grounding pin 4 doesn't do the trick. That is the what you need to end this situation.
