Chrysler Repair: Misses when warmed up: 01 3.3L, coolant temp, crank sensor

Hi Kevin,

We have a 2001 Chrysler T&C 3.3L LX, the van starts and runs but when its warms up it start to miss or slight hesitation no codes i have changed the EGR, Crank sensor, PVC, MAP sensor , Coil pack ,
serviced TB the wires and plug were changed 85k it know has about 110K  . please help

Hi Many,
I wonder whether one of the two engine temp sensors is 'off-value' which is causing an incorrect mixture. The engine coolant temp sensor is a bit of a hassle to change out so you might do better to check out its reading at the pins of the pcm plug. When the engine is cold it should read in the range of 4k ohms and then drop to 700-1000 ohms when fully warmed up. The resistance can be measured between pin 26 and 43 of the pcm. The inlet air temp sensor is located on the side of the main inlet corrugated pipe. I am not certain of the resistance vs temp on that but you can verify whether it resistance decreases as the engine compartment heats up as seen between pins 37 and 43.
