Chrysler Repair: cam sensor?, crank sensor, cam sensor

2001 sebring 2.7-----convertable??--where is the cam sensor and ----i was driving along and it stalled out--it started again but would hardly move then slowly it did to get it home---also dash engine light came on---is it the cam sensor-(thts waht i was told)---thnx

Hi Terry,
The cam sensor is on the front of the engine and looks at one of the two cam shaft sprockets. Before deciding what to do, try a fault code readout: on-off-on-off-on and leave on, using the igntion key and doing that in 5 seconds or less. Then watch the odometer window to see if the mileage disappears and in its place a 4-digit number preceded by a P shows up. The code for the crank sensor is 0320 and for the cam sensor is 0340. Let me know which or another code and we'll go from there.
