Chrysler Repair: 2000 Chrysler Cirrus wont turn over, chrysler cirrus, 2000 chrysler cirrus

Question
Hi,

I have a 200 Chrysler Cirrus LXi.  I parked 3 nights ago and everything was fine.  I went out there this morning and it does not turn over.  No clicking from the starter, nothing.  I also noticed that the radio does not come on.  All other electrical (dash, headlights, dome...) work fine.  I tried jumping it but still nothing.  Any ideas?

Thanks!
Don

Answer
Hi Don,
It would appear that your battery is really drained due to a light left on or a short.
Are you certain that the jump provider (car or battery?) was up to snuff and tightly connected?
If so, then two possibilities are that the ground wires from the battery are loose at their far ends, or there is such a short on the positive post that even a jumper won't do it. Try jumping directly to the battery cables after removing them from the existing battery and see if that works which would if so implicate a badly shorted or drained battery. Let me know what you learn.
