Chrysler Repair: 2004 PT Cruiser, camshaft position sensor, ground tone

Spitting and sputtering

We've fixed the Camshaft Position Sensor twice, replaced the timing belt and put new plugs and wires on it.  What else can possibly be the problem???

CHECKING CKP SIGNAL WITH THE DRBIIIt LAB
CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
(K44) CMP SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN
(K44) CMP SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
(K44) CMP SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO B+
(K44) CMP SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO (K7) 5 VOLTS
