Buick/Olds: 96 Park Avenue Climate Control, control climate, climate control

Question
Climate control temperature light blinks for about 30 seconds shortly after startup, then all is usually okay.  When it's not working right it will blow cold air on driver's side as it should, and hot air on passenger's side when it shouldn't.  This happens more often if the vehicle is driven a lot.  It didn't start happening until after I replaced the blower and motor because the old blower broke apart.

Answer
Many of the later model Buicks have a dual control so you can set the passenger side climate hotter or colder than the drivers side. If yours has such a setup, check to see if both vacuum doors ( 1 for each side) are operating correctly; ie closing when they should, and opening when they should. If this doesn't fix the problem, get back to me.
