Chrysler Repair: oil pressure sending unit on 97 2.0L, crankshaft position sensor, oil pressure sending unit

Question
Where exactly is the oil pressure sending unit located on a '97' plymouth breeze, 2.0 L.  Haynes book says above oil filter, but crankshaft positioning sensor was what I found there.  Oil pressure light coming on while driving.  Changed oil, light still coming on.  want to change oil pressure sensor, if i could find it. Have looked on-line for hours, no help so far.   Thanks

Answer
Hi Tammy,
The sender is near the crankshaft position sensor. Look diagonally above that crank sensor and to the left, closer to the exhaust manifold where the #1 cylinder exhaust port is located. You may find that due to engine wear that the even with a new sender that the oil light will come on at idle. If that were the case you could change your oil one step higher in viscosity which will raise the operating pressure accordingly.
