Chrysler Repair: no brake lights: 06 Cherokee, jeep cherokee, grand cherokee

Question
I have a 2006 jeep Cherokee and the break lights are not working I have checked the fuses all good and the brake switch and it is also good.
What do I do next

Answer
Hi Mike,
There are several 'Cherokee' vehicles but if yours is a Grand Cherokee then fuse 27 powers the brake lights. If that fuse is OK and if you have power appearing at the brake switch and it is passing through the switch when activated, and if the other rear lights are working, and if the center high mounted brake lamp works, then the bright filaments in the stop bulbs are probably burned out. Let me know your VIN if you don't have the Grand Cherokee or if my other assumptions above are not correct.
