Chrysler Repair: 90 New Yorker Alarm: module removed when engine not running, powertrain control module, chrysler drb

Question
on one of your replies you had stated " DO NOT UNPLUG THE PLUG"
what would happen if this box was removed from the car while the vehicle was off ?
the car has the alarm set and the car will not start
the power locks do not work and the trunk lock motor will just run when the plug is plugged in.
will these pieces need to be replaced before you can deactivate the alarm ?
I have read many pages and some of them point to wires (8 wire plug ) in the trunk on the left side tried and didn't deactivate the alarm the lights stopped blinking
thanks for the time Rolland

Answer
I know that when the security module is unplugged with the engine not running it will cause a no start situation. I don't think there is a way around this except by finding the module and plugging it back in. Then you would want to lock/unlock the passenger side door to try and clear the 'alarmed' state. If that doesn't doe it then we could try tricking the body computer to believe that the door lock had armed/disarmed it. Finally, a diagnostic readout box (a Chrysler DRB-II or Snap-on Scanner) may be needed to reset things. But first find the theft module.
The theft module is on the digital data bus and is connected to the body computer which in turn is connected to the engine's powertrain control module via the same bus. So it is all tied together. The theft module and body computer are also specific as to whether the cluster is mechanical or electronic. I believe that the power door locks not working is related to the theft module being removed.
Do you know of anything other than the theft module that has been removed?
Is there any possibility of getting it back?
