What to do ?? thx Stumpped

Answer
Hi Michael,
When you had the scan done, which data link connector was used? The black one in the engine compartment or the blue one under the dash near the fuse block? If the reader wasn't plugged into the blue one it won't be able to read transmission fault codes, and of course it also has to be programmed to do that. So see about that and let me know. When you are in 'limp-in mode' that means the power to the trans relay is cut off. That relay needs the ASD output for power and the ignition switch power to operate the relay switch, and if you didn't have both of those the engine wouldn't run either. So it does suggest to me that the tcm has detected a problem and shut off the power to close the trans relay switch.
A Chrysler DRB-II or a simimilar Snap-on OBD-I system reader with the blue data link connector will access the TCM memory and give you a 2-digit fault code. Let me know what it is and we'll go from there.
